Over the years the Park has also been interacting with women students in the area of Life Sciences among colleges in and around the Park, Chennai and the region. With increasing number of colleges focusing on innovation and EDP there is a felt need for a platform to incubate the ideas and scale them up into enterprises - thus a strong need for an incubation centre. The Park with its success in providing a platform for women entrepreneurs is ideally placed to provide value added services in the form of infrastructure support, common instrumentation and analytical services, referrals and escort services and networking opportunities as per their requirements thereby helping the younger generation to come into the Park and incubate and scale up their ideas.
The Park has set up a 5000 sq. ft. Incubation Facility supported by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council) which will have a Central Instrumentation Facility. About 2,500 interns and about 100 incubatees / start-ups are likely to benefit from the Park activities before 2020.
